Privacy Policy

FundU is a fundraising platform connecting businesses, non-profits, and customers. This Privacy Policy explains what information FundU may collect, why it is collected, how integrations work, and how third-party providers may be involved.

Introduction

FundU provides tools for business partners to create fundraising offers, for non-profits to run fundraising campaigns, and for customers to purchase through those campaigns. We collect and use information to operate the platform, support transactions, maintain records, and improve the FundU experience.

Information We Collect

The information FundU collects depends on how you use the platform, your role, and which features or integrations you choose to use.

  • Account information, such as username, email, password hash, authentication data, and session data.
  • Business partner profile information, such as name, business name, business type, website, support email, phone, address, logo or header images, fulfillment details, and ship-from address.
  • Non-profit profile information, such as non-profit name, logo, parent group, non-profit type, and member profile images.
  • Customer and checkout information, such as buyer name, email, phone, and delivery notes.
  • Catalog and inventory information, such as product names, descriptions, categories, images, SKUs, prices, inventory quantity, source IDs, and raw provider data.
  • Payment metadata, such as Stripe account IDs, payment intent IDs, checkout session IDs, charges, transfer IDs, payout IDs, fee records, and webhook payloads.
  • Engagement analytics, such as link clicks, QR scans, social shares, page views, checkout starts, checkout completions, and related metadata.

Payment Processing

FundU uses Stripe for checkout and payment processing. FundU does not store raw card numbers, CVV codes, or full card details. Card collection is handled through Stripe-hosted checkout or Stripe-controlled payment experiences.

Third-Party Integrations

Business partners may authorize FundU to connect with commerce or point-of-sale providers such as Shopify, Square, Clover, and future or optional integrations such as Wix, GoDaddy, and Toast.

When authorized, FundU may access and sync products, variants, categories, images, SKUs, pricing, inventory, modifiers, merchant details, and order-related metadata where supported by the connected provider.

OAuth and Tokens

FundU may use OAuth or API tokens to connect business partner accounts with third-party providers. These tokens are handled by backend systems, and frontend users do not receive provider tokens.

FundU uses provider tokens to perform actions the business partner has authorized, such as syncing catalog, inventory, merchant, or order-related information where supported.

Cookies, Sessions, and Analytics

FundU may use authentication cookies and session tools to help keep users signed in and support platform security. FundU may also collect analytics events, server logs, and related operational data.

Third-party processors and service providers may keep logs or processing records as part of their own services.

How We Use Information

FundU uses information to provide account access, complete onboarding, sync catalogs, create offers, process checkout, maintain payment records, prevent fraud, provide support, measure platform analytics, and support compliance and accounting needs.

Sharing Information

FundU may share information with Stripe and other payment processors, connected commerce or POS providers, business partners, non-profits, customers, and service providers where needed to complete transactions or operate the platform.

FundU may also share information when required for legal, compliance, safety, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Data Retention

FundU may retain information for operational, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, compliance, and dispute-resolution purposes. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, legal requirements, and business needs.

Account and Integration Management

Users may request account changes or disconnection of integrations where supported. Some records may remain after an account change or integration disconnect, including records needed for completed transactions, compliance, accounting, reporting, or operational history.
