Terms of Service

These Terms of Service apply to all users of FundU, including business partners, non-profits, members, and customers. By accessing or using FundU, you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FundU, you agree to follow these Terms of Service and any additional policies that apply to your use of the platform.

What FundU Does

FundU provides a platform where businesses create fundraising offers and non-profits run campaigns that customers can purchase from. FundU is designed to help coordinate offers, campaigns, checkout, records, and related platform activity.

Account Responsibilities

Users must provide accurate information and keep account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for promptly notifying FundU if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

User Roles

  • Business partners create offers, maintain catalog data, and fulfill orders.
  • Non-profits create and manage campaigns and receive fundraising proceeds where eligible.
  • Customers provide checkout details and pay through Stripe.
  • FundU hosts the platform and processes platform records.

Payments and Checkout

Stripe handles checkout and payment processing. FundU stores payment metadata but does not store raw card details. Payment status may be updated through Stripe systems, and FundU may store fee, split, transfer, payout, and related transaction records.

Campaigns and Offers

Offers are based on business partner catalog items. Profit splits are snapshotted at purchase time so completed order records can reflect the terms available at checkout.

FundU may remove campaigns or offers that violate policies. Historical order records may remain after offers, campaigns, or catalog items are changed.

No Guarantee of Inventory or Fulfillment

FundU does not guarantee that inventory, pricing, fulfillment status, or availability from connected providers is always current. Business partners remain responsible for reviewing their information, maintaining accurate offers, and fulfilling orders.

Prohibited Conduct and Products

  • Fraud, misleading campaigns, or false representations.
  • Illegal products, illegal services, or restricted goods.
  • Abusive behavior, harassment, spam, or unauthorized platform use.
  • Unauthorized use of integrations or attempts to access systems without permission.
  • Attempts to bypass FundU payments or platform controls.

Platform Controls

FundU may suspend, hide, remove, or restrict accounts, business partners, non-profits, offers, campaigns, catalog items, or related records when FundU believes action is appropriate for platform integrity, safety, compliance, or operational reasons.

Third-Party Services

FundU may work with Stripe, Shopify, Square, Clover, Wix, GoDaddy, Toast, and other providers. Users may also be subject to those providers' terms, policies, and account requirements.

Disputes, Refunds, and Chargebacks

Refunds, disputes, and chargebacks may be handled through Stripe, business partner review, non-profit review, and FundU platform review depending on the transaction and circumstances.

Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their content. By submitting content to FundU, users grant FundU permission to display, store, process, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, and support the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FundU is not responsible for business partner fulfillment failures, inaccurate inventory, third-party outages, payment provider delays, integration errors, user misuse, or other issues outside FundU's direct control.

Changes to Terms

FundU may update these terms from time to time and may require users to accept new versions before continuing to use certain platform features.
